Surveillance Agent: Grave Shift
The Surveillance Agent is responsible for observing all customers and Team Members activities via surveillance camera system for criminal activity and/or violations of casino policies and procedures. The Surveillance Agent should be professional at all times and possess good communication skills. In addition, he/she/they must display integrity and honesty in all aspects of employment while providing “star” treatment of all guests and encourage repeat business.
Essential Functions (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive to this position):
- Observes and reports any and all gaming violations and/or thefts of company property
- Operates monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions
- Participates in court actions relating to gaming violations
- Learns and uses two card count system
- Learns all games in use and all procedures and cheating indicators of such games
- Writes proper reports as needed in a timely manner
- Responds to surveillance supervision and gaming control requests
- Responds to requests of all other departments when necessary
- May be required to perform duties outside of normal job description where in the Company’s judgment it is necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or improved customer service.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of casino security preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- At least one (1) years’ experience in surveillance and/or security field preferred.
- Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets.
- Individual should have basic computer and keyboarding skills and knowledge of database and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers and guests in fast-paced environment.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
