Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Structural Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating innovative structural designs that meet client specifications while adhering to industry standards. This role requires proficiency in various design software and a strong understanding of structural design principles, residential construction methods, and common procedures used in residential framing and concrete installation.
Duties
- Develop detailed structural designs using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to create comprehensive design solutions.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Forte and various other design software for drafting and design documentation.
- Create structural details to present concepts effectively to clients.
- Conduct structural design assessments to ensure functionality and safety of structures.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the design process.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software, with experience in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Forte, Enercalc, Clearcalc, and various design software is required.
- Strong background in structural design principles.
- Experience in residential construction is preferred.
- Ability to draft plans and structural details accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- E.I. certification is required (or attainable within 6 months). We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest to obtain P.E. licensure.
