Manager on Duty (MOD)

Queen City Sportsplex is looking to hire a qualified Manager on Duty to join our team. Qualified candidates will have previous supervisory experience. Candidates who have done similar work in the past will be preferred.

As a Manager on Duty, your role will involve completing a variety of tasks, such as, acting as a liaison between staff and guests, light housekeeping, serving food and beverages, etc. To be successful in the position, candidates will need to be capable of working efficiently without compromising standards for safety and customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Hours for this position are based on Facility usage that week.

Manager on Duty Responsibilities:

You will be asked to complete a wide variety of tasks. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Supervise participants and activities in the facility.

Ensure the safety of all participants in the facility.

Lead or participate in program activities when directed.

Answer telephone; provide requested information about recreation activities or directs calls to the appropriate person.

Greet visitors; answers questions about recreation programs or directs guests to appropriate person.

Accept program applications and fees.

Ensure that QCS grounds are secure, organized, and clean.

Complete appropriate paperwork for any accidents or incidents that occur at the facility.

Ability to execute the Emergency Procedures and Evacuation plan.

Assist in the scheduling of employees and daily operation of QCS.

Any other duties assigned by the Director of Facility Operations.

Manager on Duty Qualifications:

Previous experience as Manager or in a similar role preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and prioritize based on importance

High school degree or equivalent

Over the age of 21

Working knowledge of the English language

Ability to work efficiently while meeting company standards and prioritizing assigned tasks

Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision

Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays

CPR and First Aid certification are preferred, but not required
