The Queen Creek Olive Mill is looking for an experienced and passionate craft person like you to enhance the quality of our handmade pizza menu while maintaining consistent standards.
This role offers you the opportunity to develop your career. Full & Part-time positions available Hours of Operation: Sun-Wed (8 am - 5 pm) Thurs - Sat (8 am - 9 pm)
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare authentic handmade pizzas
- Assist with tasks from the Head Pizzaiolo, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef
- Develop and follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
- Follow the FIFO method to maximize freshness
- Assist in food inventory and control while adequately receiving and storing delivered items
- Clean food prep areas, equipment, utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, hygiene, and other health and safety guidelines
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years experience in a similar position as a Pizzaiolo/pizza maker preferred
- A passion for the craft of making handmade pizza
- Experience working with other experienced Pizziaolos is a plus
- Culinary diploma/degree is a plus
- Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Able to spend 100% of the time standing
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
