We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee daily plant operations, ensuring smooth production, bottling, material flow, and shipping of finished goods.
Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will lead a team of 7 to 12 employees, ensuring all operations run efficiently and meet production goals. Reporting to the Plant Director, Operations Director, and Quality Director, this role requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate has experience in food manufacturing, production planning, and team management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Implement and oversee daily production schedules to ensure efficiency and meet deadlines.
Plan and allocate staffing based on daily operational needs.
Ensure raw materials are properly staged and available for processing.
Monitor and optimize machine resources to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
Ensure smooth operation of bottling lines, ovens, and production equipment.
Motivate, support, and guide production staff to achieve operational goals.
Communicate regularly with upper management regarding challenges, solutions, and progress.
Set and monitor productivity goals for production teams.
Develop and enforce workflow policies and procedures that enhance efficiency while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Maintain production reports and analyze data to improve processes.
Implement waste reduction strategies and ensure minimal product rejection.
Coordinate with the shipping team to ensure finished goods are dispatched to clients on time.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or equivalent experience.
3 years of experience as a Production or Operations Manager in food manufacturing (Required).
Experience managing teams of 10 or more people in a production environment.
Strong inventory management skills to ensure material availability.
Knowledge of food safety and quality standards (GFSI, HACCP, GMP, etc.).
Strong computer skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing machinery and tools used in food production.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
