Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizzaiolo to join our team. As a Pizzaiolo, you will be responsible for crafting delicious pizzas using traditional techniques and high-quality ingredients. Your creativity, attention to detail, and dedication to the craft of pizza-making is what we need.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare pizza dough and toppings according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment with precision and safety.
- Hand-stretch dough and skillfully toss to achieve optimal texture and thickness.
- Apply toppings evenly and artfully, ensuring each pizza is visually appealing and flavorful.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve perfect crust consistency and toppings doneness.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pizza station and kitchen area.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pizzaiolo or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
- Extensive knowledge of pizza-making techniques, including dough preparation, shaping, and baking.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality pizzas consistently.
- Experience with wood fired or coal fired pizza ovens
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
