RESPONSIBILITIESMolokai General Hospital (MGH), a Queen's Health Systems Company is looking for a Full-Time General Office Clerk to work in our Paul G. Stevens, M.D. Outpatient Clinic. It offers primary care in a rural health clinic, chemotherapy, limited specialty procedures, diabetes management, family planning, physical therapy (including aquatic therapy), veteran's services and chronic disease navigation services.
- JOB SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for performing routine clerical duties in accordance with procedures of the Paul G. Stevens, M.D. Outpatient Clinic. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering telephones, scheduling clinic appointments, completing necessary requisitions for lab work, special tests, and referrals.
- TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Essential functions- Seeing, hearing , speaking, sitting, and finger dexterity. Operates various office machines / tools / work aids.
- TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Inside work. Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education / Certification and Licensure :
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- Experience :
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.- One (1) year business or office experience preferred.- Computer literacy and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.- Able to work with frequent interruptions.- Ability to relate effectively to hospital staff, patients, and their families.- Must possess good communications skills.- Must maintain and promote patient confidentiality.Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Vet
