Radiologic Technologist (Full Time, 40, Rotating)

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Performs a variety of radiologic procedures.
  • Provides patient care during procedures.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • Standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
  • Continuous : stooping / bending; reaching above and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object, pushing / pulling usual weight up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Frequent : twisting body, lifting usual weight with assistance up to 50 pounds; carrying up to 40 pounds; reaching at shoulders, repetitive arm / hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasional : sitting, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting.

    • II. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions; cold temperatures due to the air conditioning.
  • Subjected to noise / vibration from film processors.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical / electrical units, chemicals and radiation.
  • Work Environment is fast paced and high stressed due to patient census.

    • IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

    A. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE :

  • Hawaii State license as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current BLS certification.

    • B. EXPERIENCE :

  • One (1) year experience in an acute care facility preferred.
