Queens Centers for Progress, a human services agency, providing person-centered services for children and adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities is seeking a Handyman/Mechanic.
Summary:
Under the close supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Handyman/Mechanic performs all daily inspections, preventive maintenance work and assists with general cleaning as needed.
Duties:
- Repairs and installs mechanical electrical plumbing
- Performs all daily inspections and preventive maintenance work
- Assists with general cleaning as needed
- Assists with garbage removal and handling
- Removes all snow when necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School/GED Diploma and 3 years of experience in general building maintenance work required. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC required.
