We are seeking a qualified Project Based Learning Facilitator with a strong commitment to youth development for our Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). The Project Based Learning Facilitator will work collaboratively with other SYEP staff, the QCH community, and stakeholders to implement a curriculum for SYEP participants to ensure they can explore interests and passions, develop positive social connections, contribute to their community, become life-long learners, and gain meaningful experiences. Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide 12.5 hours of weekly training/workshops and seminars to SYEP program participants ages 14 -15 years old that incorporate subjects such as:
- Financial literacy
- Career and education exploration
- Develop and administer lesson plans and materials for workforce readiness training sessions
- Select and develop teaching aids and reference materials to support curriculum design and implementation
- Accompany participants on all off-site trips
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment
- Attend supervision sessions and monthly staff meetings
Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to implement positive youth development frameworks
- Knowledge of NYC’s priority employment sectors
- Knowledge of various computer programs
- Excellent communication, organizational and verbal skills
- Must be able to clear background screen requirements associated with the program
PREFERRED skills/experience/qualities:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of one year of classroom management
- Minimum of two years of in planning and facilitation workshops for youths
