We are seeking a dedicated SYEP Program Aide to support the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) by performing a variety of administrative and programmatic duties. The ideal candidate will assist department staff and participants, provide daily program support, and help ensure the program meets its goals of fostering youth work readiness, social and job skills, and creating safe work environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce YEPS Department program expectations, policies, and protocols as directed by the Program Director or Coordinator.
- Collect and organize relevant paperwork from work-sites and participants, including program applications and enrollment forms.
- Handle incoming phone calls and inquiries.
- Input and maintain data for work-sites and participants in the assigned portfolio.
- Collaborate with program management to ensure program coordination and effective implementation.
- Conduct outreach to work-sites, perform site assessments, and assist with participant placement.
- Supervise youth participants during placements and facilitate participant trainings.
- Maintain accurate program documentation, such as time-sheets, work-site assessments, evaluations, incident reports, and attendance sheets.
- Conduct a minimum of two weekly work-site field visits and collect required data.
- Attend agency-wide trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Be flexible with scheduling, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the Program Director or Coordinator.
