The primary purpose of the Assistant Manager is to help the Store Manager to ensure the highest level of service to both internal and external customers. The Assistant Store Manager will assist the Store Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, prompt and friendly customer service, as well as a clean, fully stocked, location. The Assistant Store Manager is also responsible for the store profitability, payroll control and margin of the location.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- To treat customers as guests with respect and courtesy while providing them with quick, friendly service. This includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards and solid product knowledge.
- Analyze and measure business trends, develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
- Ensures appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations, signing and assortment in all departments, ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.
- Ensures compliance with all laws, policies and procedures though regular store management and staff meetings, store walk through and audits.
- Continually evaluates and reacts to performance issues.
- Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
