The Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor position provides instructional support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor, Human Learning Systems. The Job Corps program is a federally-funded residential training program. Job Corps’ mission is to educate and train youth ages 16-24 for successful careers in the nation’s fastest-growing industries.
Summary of Duties: The Nursing Assistant Instructor is responsible for providing students with industry recognized instruction certification, and training, leading to full-time jobs, higher education, or advanced training.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Provides students with quality career technical training instruction in a safe and clean environment which results in high completion and placement performance.
- Motivates and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal growth, or study habits; coordinates with counselors and other staff as necessary to resolve barriers impacting student training.
- Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
- Develops and prepares lessons; recommends curricula changes and supplemental materials, submitting all lesson plans to the Training Manager two weeks prior to instruction.
- Registered Nursing (RN) Credential Required. RN must possess a minimum of two years nursing experience, at least one year of which must be in the provision of long-term care facility services and shall have completed a course in teaching adults OR have experience teaching adults OR supervising nurse aides, in a facility-based program
