Laser Engineer - Quantum Systems

QuEra Computing is pioneering the future of quantum computing technology. We are seeking a talented Laser Engineer to join our Quantum Systems group. In this role, you will design, build and optimize advanced laser systems that are crucial for our neutral atom quantum processors. Your work will contribute to the Quantum Systems group's mission - the development of next-generation quantum architectures and their productization, in collaboration with both internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, build and optimize high-power, high-precision laser systems to meet the rigorous demands of quantum computing applications.
• Actively engage in R&D projects focusing on innovative quantum technologies and scalable system architectures, with a productization perspective.
• Support technological milestones, including scaling qubit numbers and enhancing gate fidelities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to ensure laser systems are readily integrable and transferable into quantum platforms.
• Partner with external collaborators and suppliers to advance laser technologies and uphold system reliability.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
