What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Teacher position at Quest Academy?
Details:
This is a part-time position that is typically 20-30 hours per week.
Teachers will work with a group of 10-12 students all of the same grade level.
Teachers will be in charge of teaching subjects ranging from math, problem solving, language arts, reading comprehension, and writing. Teachers will not be required to teach all of these subjects, and can let us know their strengths and preferences.
Teachers will be required to correct students' work in a timely manner each week
Teachers will be required to create short weekly quizzes that cover the weekly material.
Teachers will be required to log and keep track of student's progress.
Teachers will be responsible for filling in the end of the summer progress reports for each student in their class.
A short assessment will be given to candidates during the interview process testing them on their elementary school math, reading, and language arts knowledge.
Qualifications:
You are able to work between 9:00am - 5pm (Monday-Friday/ part time available ) There is opportunity for overtime with the addition of private tutoring.
You are detail oriented, charismatic, reliable, friendly, and good with children.
Recent high school graduates with competitive transcript and SAT scores, or College level students.
You have your own reliable transportation to and from work.
Experience:
Experience working with elementary and middle school students is preferred but not required.
Experience working with a group of children is also preferred but not required.
Training will be provided by our school.
