Job Title: Primary Therapist
Reports to: Clinical Supervisor
Supervises: None
Position Responsibilities
The Primary Therapist assists in the development and implementation of individualized, community-referenced, non-aversive behavior management programs for all Quest Behavioral Health residents. Programs emphasize the promotion of communication and self-control skills as alternatives to maladaptive behaviors. Programs are specifically designed for implementation in the community environment. Specific behaviors for increase and decrease are targeted for each Quest Behavioral Health resident.
Therapist Duties and Responsibilities:
The Therapist will satisfy the requirements governing the delivery and documentation of social work, mental health treatment, and consultation services for Social Rehabilitation Facilities specified by: (1) Title 22, Division 6, Chapters 1 and 5; (2) Title 9 Sections 531-535. (3) California Department of Social Services (CDSS); (4) Community Care Licensing (CCL); and (5) all other applicable regulations and laws.
Responsibilities for mental health treatment and consultation services will be shared with the Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with specific responsibilities to be assigned by Quest Behavioral Health.
The Therapist will deliver psychological, mental health treatment, and consultation services that may include:
· Individual therapy
· Family therapy
· Group therapy
· Crisis intervention
· Consultation
Quest Behavioral Health will also employ a Masters level Therapists, MFT’s and CSW’s and Psy.D’s. The services provided will be appropriate to individual client service needs.
Employment Standards
Education: Masters Degree or higher from accredited college or university
Qualifications:
· 18 years of age, or older;
· A Valid Registration or License with the Board of Behavioral Sciences
Additional Qualifications:
· Knowledge of the requirements for providing the type of care and supervision needed by at-risk residents/client, including ability to communicate with such client;
· Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable law and regulation;
· Ability to maintain or supervise the clinical program;
· Ability to direct the work of others, when applicable;
· Ability to establish the facility's policy, program cirriculum; and
· Ability to recruit, employ, train, and evaluate qualified staff, and to terminate employment of staff, if appropriate.
· Completion of First Aid/CPR requirements as specified by Community Care Licensing;
· Valid California driver's license.

Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
