Overview
Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Ponca City, OK Monday-Friday 0930-2000
Main Duties: Perform testing in the areas of Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Serology, Microbiology, and Blood Banking in a hospital environment.
Responsibilities
Required Knowledge: Understanding of standard laboratory processes and procedures. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must have a good understanding of laboratory quality assurance standards. Must have good computer skills.Required Experience: AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Laboratory Science. ASCP MLS/MLT certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MLS/MLT certification.
Qualifications
Special Requirements: Good customer service skills is a must. Some phlebotomy tasks will be required. Holiday and weekend rotation will be required. May be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
- Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
- Frequent walking and/or standing.
- May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.
