We are seeking a Director of Financial Services to join our team! The Director of Financial Services is a senior finance professional responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, customer credit management and internal controls within the company. This role is critical for ensuring accurate financial reporting, providing strategic guidance to support business growth, optimizing costs, and improving overall financial performance.

This position is accountable for all aspects of controlling across the USA and Canada, working closely with the Managing Directors in both regions. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with finance teams, as well as operations and sales teams, to effectively manage business, project costs and margins.
Director of Financial Services Responsibilities include:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) & Performance:
- Manage the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including Gross Margin (GM), IC margins, cost controls and stock levels to drive business decisions.
- Ensure accurate project costing and pricing strategies to maintain profitability.
- Oversee cost allocation processes and ensure accurate reporting.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making at the executive level.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Foster strong collaboration with the US shared service finance department to ensure alignment in reporting processes.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations and Branches teams to optimize supply chain and inventory management
- Drive initiatives to improve working capital, capex efficiency, and overall financial performance.
Investment & Risk Management & Compliance:
- Responsible for Customer Credit Management, including Credit limits and accounts receivables.
- Establish and enforce robust internal controls to mitigate risks.
- Assess financial risks related to new projects, market fluctuations, and customer payment terms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 10 years of progressive experience in finance and controlling, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in the construction, scaffolding, or industrial sectors is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial modeling, and forecasting techniques.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment and manage multiple priorities.
