- Work closely with clients to understand their event needs, preferences, and objectives, offering tailored solutions.
- Lead the sales process, including identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.
- Manage client expectations, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Oversee the planning and execution of catering events, including meetings, conferences, corporate lunches, and company-wide events.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including chefs, kitchen staff, and operations, to ensure seamless event execution.
- Develop event timelines, manage budgets, and coordinate logistics such as venue selection, catering menus, audiovisual needs, décor, and staffing.
- Ensure that all events adhere to brand standards, budgets, and client specifications.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of event coordinators and support staff, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Monitor team performance, providing training, motivation, and support to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Financial Oversight:
- Develop event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability for each event.
- Handle invoicing, payments, and ensure accurate billing in accordance with contracts.
- Marketing and Networking:
- Actively participate in networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to increase brand visibility and generate new business.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, digital content, and campaigns targeting corporate clients.
- Post-Event Evaluation:
- Gather client feedback after each event, addressing any concerns or suggestions for future improvement.
- Track and analyze event performance metrics, continually refining processes and strategies to improve service delivery.
- Proven experience as an Event Director or similar role in event planning, sales, and catering, ideally within a business and industry environment.
- Strong background in corporate catering, with a deep understanding of client needs and expectations.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
