We have an immediate opening for a Industrial Engineer / Producibility at our aerospace location in Burnsville, MN. The primary focus of this position is process improvement, by evaluating and eliminating manufacturing non-conformances and related issues such as customer complaints, producibility limitations, and production delays, through the formal identification of root causes as well as the implementation of robust preventative and effective corrective actions.
Principle duties & responsibilities
- Conducting 'Data Mining' and analyzing Non-Conformance issues
- Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities within the plant to eliminate recurrence of non-conformance (e.g. DMAIC, 8D, 5-Why)
- Leading and performing Process Capability Studies and Measurement system analysis
- Conducting PFMEA and implementing the necessary Control Plans
- Support Cost Engineering with Cost Analysis- Material and Production Cost
- Participate in cross-functional Corrective Action Board meetings and provide support to the customer’s Design, Manufacturing & Purchasing Functions & Engine Project Teams
- The creation of How To's, Work Instructions, SOP’s, Technical instruction and other inspection planning documents
- Monitoring and controlling the implementation of improvement actions and reporting effectiveness, in terms of Quality Cost and Delivery
- Issue Resolution : Quickly resolve issues during industrialization and production, ensuring root cause identification and corrective actions
- Technical Quality Packages : Deliver robust manufacturing technical packages and methods for production components
- Production Support : Provide day-to-day quality support for manufacturing operations
- Familiarity with Quality, Industrialization, and Operations processes
- Successful delivery of projects focused on cost, delivery, and quality improvements
