- Coordinates and implements operations sequencing and specification procedures to optimize efficiency and quality in highly complex manufacturing processes. Planning and designing critical manufacturing processes.
- Plans, designs, and selects specialized or highly regulated manufacturing processes utilizing materials, specifications, tolerances, equipment, fixtures, tooling, and work instructions.
- Drives strategic product line activities and/or operational process modifications with operations and engineering to enhance products and processes and ensure future business needs are met.
- Determines other complex technical matters required to make a given product according to the desired volume, timetable, cost, quality level, and other specifications.
- Designs and develops manufacturing processes for products, taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to manufacturing. Such design and development may include new or revised processes.
- Delivers innovative data collection for statistical analysis and utilize data visualization to convey technical results to influence others.
- Works with minimal oversight to monitor and improve quality control procedures to ensure that critical processes and products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Leads a culture of compliance, ensuring others meet all required documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and specifications.
- Drives a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices and incorporating feedback to drive ongoing advancements in aerospace manufacturing.
- Leads and supports projects from conception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
Work Experience
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 3-5 years prior relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previously worked in a high-complexity, tight-tolerance, low-volume aerospace production environment.
- Familiar with conveying work instructions to teams, especially with software solutions such as a Manufacturing Execution System, e.g., Solumina.
- Experience in implementation of significant value stream improvements that achieve major results and engage front-line teams.
- Ability to write and communicate technical information and build consensus among individual-contributors, leaders, customers, and suppliers.
- Demonstrate curiosity and passion in STEAM, specifically science or engineering.
- Champion of lean manufacturing or other technical matter related to aerospace.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
