We have an immediate need for a Materials Engineer at our aerospace location in Santa Clarita, CA . The primary focus of this role is to provide shop floor and product support with focus on gas nitrating & copper plating .
Duties & responsibilities include :
- Assist with the design, tracking and implementation of tools used in manufacturing setting
- Work with a cross functional team to provide support to production shop floor
- Investigate, incorporate and close out changes to manufacturing procedures using customer tools
- Provide hardware Tracking and Status Update
- Utilize customer tools to route products through shop floor from assembly to shipment
- Assist in the documentation of standard practices
- Communicate status of projects to Customer and all levels of Management
- Work with a team of engineers on new product to provide ME support in stages from concept to test
