We have an immediate opening for a Part time NPI Operations Associate at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL. The primary focus of this role is to create and manage the Industrial Plan for development programs.

Duties & responsibilities include:

• Track schedules and progress for vendors and company plant locations to ensure flawless on-time delivery.
• Provide regular updates to management.
• Function as the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the “Produce to Deliver” phase of programs
• Drive actions and set priorities for the team in order to meet customer delivery milestones.
• Identify supply chain and operations risks and drive risk mitigation plans.
• Help drive industrial recoveries as needed in the supply chain, including but not limited to finding alternate sources, driving rate readiness reviews with critical suppliers, etc.
• Ensure all quality-related items for products are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• 5 years of experience in new product introduction (NPI), preferably in a contract manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing product development from concept through mass production, including working with cross-functional teams such as engineering, production, and supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of contract manufacturing processes, including vendor selection, relationship management, and performance monitoring.
• Demonstrated experience with production processes, quality assurance, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
• Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
• Typical 40 hours weeks plus lunch / core (required) hours / General shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
• Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
