We have an immediate opening for a PFMEA Manufacturing Engineer at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL. The primary focus of this role is to create new and update existing PFMEA’s [Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis].
Duties & responsibilities include:
- Manage creation of new PFMEA’s and updating of existing PFMEA’s
- Analyze process steps to identify possible errors/failures
- Provide multiple plant site support on the Rockford campus.
- Support Plant Production and Design events
- Participate and communicate with cross functional groups
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field with 2-3 years’ experience preferred
- In lieu of degree 8-10 years’ experience acceptable
- Previous PFMEA development experience required
- Manufacturing/Assembly experience required (Understanding routings and process steps)
- Extroverted and approachable
- Excellent Communication skills required with employees and leadership
- Aerospace experience preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
- Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
- Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 40 hours weeks plus lunch / core (required) hours / General shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.

Exempt Salaried Pay Range: $75K - $80K DOE
