Position Role Type: As a Precision Inspector you will be responsible for the inspection of aircraft cargo system parts via CMM and/or with handheld metrology tools. In addition to inspection of product you’ll perform the following:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection & acceptance of machined parts for various aftermarket customers, OEM.
- Must have Intermediate knowledge of PLM system, SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
- Evaluate products for acceptance criteria and initiate rejection process where required.
- Complete delivery documents and maintain systems records for traceability and movement of products.
- Perform Root Cause Corrective Action using in case of an escape to customer.
- Perform work in compliance with the safety requirements.
- Will be required to work independently and with minimal supervision to complete tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- The qualified applicant will be required after adequate training and experience, to certify & buy-off products per customer Quality Requirements
Work Experience
Required & Desired Skills (Technical Competency):
- HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Previous experience in preparing final inspection documents (CoC, TC Form 1 etc. )
- Ability to work under minimal supervision to execute the ‘Essential Job Functions’ required.
- Ability to interpret Engineering drawings / GD&T specifications desired.
- Knowledge of Aerospace products and manufacturing processes desired.
- SAP / MPR /ERP system familiarity preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office products Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Experience with auditing (Nadcap, ISO, AS9100, etc.)
- QMS knowledge (AS9100, ISO9001, etc.)
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
- Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
- Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 40 hours weeks plus lunch / core (required) hours / General shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
