A drafter with 3-6 years of experience is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models using Siemens NX software. The primary objective is to support engineers and other professionals by producing accurate and precise drawings to help them visualize, design, and develop a wide range of products, structures, and systems.
Work Experience
Baseline ResponsibilitiesCreating and modifying complex technical drawings using CAD software such as NX, CREO, AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand their design requirements and specifications.
Reviewing and updating existing drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Communicating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and design-related issues.
Maintaining and organizing digital files, including drawings and technical documentation.
Providing guidance and mentorship to entry-level and intermediate-level drafters and technicians.
Participating in the development and implementation of drafting standards and best practices.
Contribute to the development of new drafting techniques and tools to improve the drafting process.
Technical Competencies
Certification with experience or an Associate's degree or higher in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
3-6 years of experience in drafting and using CAD software such as NX, CREO, AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve complex design-related issues.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
Advanced knowledge of industry standards, product lifecycle management tools and design practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor entry-level and intermediate-level drafters and technicians.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
