Essential Functions: Manages the day-to-day of all gift processing functions, particularly in the areas of accuracy, responsiveness, efficient processes, and operational needs. Ensure all donations and recurring donations are received, processed and acknowledged within best practice and organizational standards.Responsible for high-level gift administration projects such as handling the monthly pledge reminders, completing complex giving summaries, creating and updating donor profiles, and year-end tax letters.Manage and process ongoing reminders, pledges and donor payments to ensure that all pledge payments are received.Serves as the resident expert for Salsa CRM gift entry, resolving problems arising from ambiguity of data and revising policies and procedures as needed; consults with supervisor if decisions require major changes in specified procedures.Serves as the resident expert and provide oversight for OneCause event registration and auction data management; serve as lead staff at events for registration and auction.Provide administrative support for all giving campaigns by creating and maintaining accurate mailing lists. Collaborate with marketing department to ensure cross-over data is accurately maintained and donors receive marketing communication.Creates and maintains documentation and processes for gift processing and reporting.Evaluate present systems to determine whether some functions can be automated to improve turnaround time.Maintains solid understanding of IRS charitable contribution rules and regulations. Stays abreast of emerging trends in the field of philanthropic gift recording.Ensure that all philanthropy staff are cross trained as appropriate in each of the functional areas within data and gift administration services. Assist with training new philanthropy employees.Participate in associations and other professional networks to advance knowledge of data and gift processing function and be a leader for the department in this area.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, including staff, board, donors and clients.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant nonprofit experience.Five years proven track record in a responsible administrative role can be substituted for education and nonprofit experience.Experience with Salsa CRM & Salsa Engage (or similar database management system)
