As a CNC Programmer/CAD Drafter, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining CNC programs, creating new ones, and optimizing existing programs. Your role will also include drafting professional drawings for our clients and manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities:
· Write, develop, and edit CNC programs.
· Create setup instructions for CNC operators.
· Study blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure accurate setup sequences.
· Keep detailed records for equipment and procedures.
· Observe each machine to verify quality performance.
· Draft mechanical drawings using CAD software, primarily AutoCAD.
· Collaborate with project coordinators and the design team on project drawings.
· Prepare submittal packages with product information, details, and elevation drawings.
· Manage and organize the CAD drawing library for ongoing projects.
Requirements & Qualifications:
· Proficiency in Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, etc.).
· Thorough understanding of mechanics and CNC machine properties.
· Experience with CNC mills and routers.
· Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and blueprints.
· Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, micrometers).
· Knowledge of safety protocols.
· Experience in architectural and/or mechanical drafting.
· Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Familiarity with Office 365 products (Word, Excel).
· Strong mathematical skills (algebra and geometry).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
Education & Experience
· Minimum of 1 year of experience with AutoCAD 2018 or newer, or relevant vocational training.
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Status: Full-Time
