Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services necessary for our operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in procurement management, supply chain management, and contract negotiation. The Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory control and logistics while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory.
- Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier agreements in relevant systems.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Ensure adherence to company policies regarding procurement practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement management or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of SAP or similar procurement systems is preferred.
- Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and other relevant MS Office programs.
- Excellent contract negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier management.
- Proficient in inventory control processes and logistics operations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
