What are the responsibilities and job description for the Model School Specialist position at Questar III BOCES?
Starting immediately - Questar III BOCES has a full-time probationary vacancy (10-month plus 20 day schedule) for a Model Schools Specialist based out of our Central Office in Castleton, NY. This position will provide leadership in the area of instructional technology integration for Questar III component school districts.
Responsibilities:
- Embedded professional development on integrating technology in the classroom
- Supporting teachers and administration in techniques and programs
- Supporting student learning through technology; coaching, modeling, teaching
- Works with teachers in formal training workshops, small groups and one-to-one settings
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- NYS Teacher certification and a minimum 5 years of teaching experience required
- Experience providing professional development preferred
Qualified applicants must have thorough knowledge of multiple instructional technology platforms, including but not limited to: Windows, Apple, Office, Google, mobile devices and classroom assistive technology
