What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Assistant Teacher position at Questar III BOCES?
Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for a Nursing Assistant Teacher to fill a maternity leave of absence located at our Robert H. Gibson Technical School in Troy, NY. This position will provide classroom, lab and off-site clinical instruction and supervision for the high-school Nursing Assistant students. Selected candidate will keep accurate records of daily attendance and student progress, assist students individually and in groups with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts, integrate technology throughout the curriculum, and administer exams/assessments to evaluate student progress and achievement.
Requirements:
- Proper NYS Registered Nurse (R.N.) license required
- Candidates must possess or be willing to pursue a NYS teaching certification through the Transitional Certification process in Nurse's Assisting
- Preferred candidates will have three years RN experience and experience working in Long Term Care
