General Purpose of Job / Summary :
The Construction and Real Estate Accountant position will report to the Controller and will be responsible for accounting and reporting support for existing commercial and residential properties as well as properties under development. The Construction and Real Estate Accountant will be involved in a broad variety of accounting functions including G / L, A / P, A / R. The position requires full-time presence at QPI’s headquarters. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Construction Accounting
- Management of job cost systems, including inputting data, reconciling accounts, and analyzing variances.
- Review all invoices for accurate coding.
- Monitor project budgets and identify potential cost overruns.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for construction projects.
- Assist with project closeouts, including final invoicing and lien releases.
Real Estate Accounting
Education / Experience :
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
