The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific programming in the Python language and in ICME technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based packages for materials design following ICME principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate scientific technologies into robust Software-as-a-Service solutions
- Create and/or optimize Python codebase for high performance and maintainability
- US Person (Citizen or Permanent Resident) status required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science or related field. PhD strongly preferred.
- Excellent Python programming skills with good understanding of software development design patterns
- Expertise with common scientific Python libraries
- Experience with scientific software development based on ICME technologies
- Familarity with software engineering best practices (version control, documentation, testing)
