What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Claims Specialist position at Questpro?
A rated carrier iin Plano, TX s seeking an auto claims adjuster who will handle rental car and ride share claims. This person will be responsible for screening and thoroughly investigating multi-line/multi-state commercial automobile losses to determine liability, identify coverage exposures, and negotiate settlements. He/she will handle a pending of commercial automobile claims that will involve; Collision, Other Than Collision, Uninsured Motorist Property Damage, Med-Pay, Bodily Injury and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- At least 3 years of automobile claims handling experience
- Experience in handling Rental Car claims and/or Ride Share claims
- Bodily Injury experience preferred
- College degree strongly preferred
- Knowledge of commercial auto policy and coverage (preferred)
- Knowledge of tort law in various jurisdictions and motor vehicle law (preferred)
- Ability to negotiate claim settlements in a timely and reasonable fashion
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Works independently under general supervision. Work is reviewed for overall adequacy and accuracy
- Makes decisions related to wide variety of situations within management limits
