Commercial Lines Underwriter Assistant - Hybrid

Questpro is partnered with an expanding specialty market in search of a temp to hire Underwriter Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commercial Lines Underwriter Assistant to support our clients GL, E&S, Public Entity underwriting team. This role plays a critical part in processing policies, reviewing documentation, and ensuring accurate underwriting decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist underwriters in evaluating and processing commercial insurance applications.
• Review and verify documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Input and maintain policy information in the underwriting system.
• Communicate with agents and brokers to gather necessary information.
• Assist in preparing quotes, endorsements, and renewal documents.
• Monitor compliance with company underwriting guidelines and standards.
• Provide administrative support to underwriters, including scheduling and correspondence.
• Maintain records and ensure timely follow-ups on pending applications.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an underwriting support role or the insurance industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of commercial insurance products is a plus.
