This position will start full-time in the office during training and will switch to a hybrid model afterward.
Essential Functions
- Act as the main contact for clients, agency personnel, other vendors, and producers on service-related issues
- Responsible for marketing new and renewal accounts at the direction of the producer
- Collaborate with producers on proposals, presentations, and renewals
- Maintain positive carrier relationships for timely and accurate policy processes
- Review and confirm rates, eligibility, and premiums for new/renewing coverage
- Coordinate enrollment changes, additions, and terminations via carrier portals
- Prepare and distribute employee communications regarding benefits, changes, and procedures
- Resolve billing and eligibility issues and support claim resolution
- Conduct plan design analyses, competitive benchmarking, and compliance reviews (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, etc.)
- Keep accurate records (proposals, applications, and other documentation)
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain licenses and expand market knowledge
- Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed, proactive, and solution-focused
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with PC applications and agency management systems
- Willingness to learn insurance markets, underwriting basics, and related financial services
- Open to asking questions and seeking clarity when needed
