The New Business Coordinator is an interesting mix of many different things, including onboarding of new clients, managing the insurance application process, working with clients, agents and carriers to keep efficient workflow and, of course, exceptional customer service for clients and producers! Our client is seeking someone with this kind of industry experience and who can bring an upbeat, energetic and positive attitude to the office. Products are a mix of Life Insurance, LTC and DI Insurance as well as investments and financial planning.
Responsibilities Include
Managing the processing of Life/LTC/DI insurance applications from submission to issue. Ensuring that the application details are accurate and complete, and tracking progress with the various carriers
Coordinating between the client & the carrier. Having direct communication with clients to address questions and requirements, while also communicating with the carriers to track underwriting progress. Providing additional info as needed such as Exams, APS reports, etc. and resolving any issues.
Accurate data entry, ensuring compliance of data and records within the CRM using quality checks
Supporting the Sales and Producer team. Assisting agents with application prep and illustrations when needed. Providing training to junior associates when needed.
Maintain service and turn around standards for return calls, emails, etc.
Staying abreast of any changes from the carriers as it relates to underwriting and new business processing requirements.
Assist with agent contracting and licensing when needed and help to process delivery requirements
Help to foster a positive, fun and team-based work environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred – or equivalent experience
- 2 years working in the Life insurance or Financial Services industry
- Proven experience in Insurance New Business Processing and UW as described above
- Familiarity with Life Insurance, LTC, DI products and related processing. Any experience with Investment products a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Ability to work in the office daily approximately 9-5 (some flex if needed)
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
