We’re looking for our next Senior Salesforce Engineer. Could It Be You?
As the Senior Salesforce Engineer at Questrade, you will contribute to developing and implementing standard and custom salesforce applications that elevate customer experience and help Questrade enhance the customer’s journey. The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert on the technical aspects of the Salesforce application and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the platform's capabilities and constraints.
What’s it like working as a Senior Salesforce Engineer at Questrade?
Design, Configure, and Develop solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, requirements, and company goals.
Implement and maintain security measures and compliance standards within Salesforce, ensuring data privacy and security.
Manage data imports, data cleansing, and data transformation activities in Salesforce.
Integrate Salesforce with other applications and systems using tools like Salesforce APIs, middleware, and third-party integration platforms.
Work with the Post Production Support team to optimize defect resolution.
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities for new/existing clients.
Support Salesforce users, troubleshoot issues, and conduct user training sessions as needed.
Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of Salesforce solutions.
Assist in planning and executing Salesforce releases and upgrades.
Monitor and optimize the performance of Salesforce applications.
Provide system administration and development support of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environments, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflows, and be able to effectively communicate how to tackle problems and exceed our customers' requirements.
Collaborate with various internal departments, including Marketing, Sales, Claims, and Information Management, to ensure the Salesforce environment supports the customers' needs relating to functionality and performance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
Experience with Salesforce Engineering
Core understanding of CRM, its entities and ability to answer the WHY
5 years of software development with 3 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
Working knowledge of RESTful integrations

Experience in Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Community Cloud.
Expertise in Apex: Extensive experience developing custom Apex Classes and Apex Triggers.
Has an understanding of the Salesforce Development Lifecycle and the ability to implement applications across Salesforce environments such as Force.com, Heroku, etc.
Expertise in Salesforce Lightning. Extensive experience developing Lightning Components with LWC or Aura.
Expert-level understanding and implementation with design patterns and algorithms implemented in APEX and ES7 (OOP and OOAD on both languages)
Experience with integration patterns with external systems via Salesforce callouts.
Experience developing applications that interact with Salesforce via SOAP or REST APIs. Bonus for GraphQL.
Understanding of Salesforce Governor Limits and Apex Development best practices.
Experience with development tools like VSCode
Experience with version control platforms like GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
Familiar with CI/CD practices for automated integrations and testing of salesforce changes
Familiar with testing practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD)
