Duties
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks, including frame carpentry when necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage wiring in commercial settings.
- Follow all safety protocols as outlined by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
Experience
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation is essential.
- Experience or coursework in electrical systems, including industrial or commercial electrician training, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading is beneficial for understanding project specifications.
- Previous exposure to low voltage and high voltage systems will be considered an asset.
- A strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the electrical trade is crucial for success in this role.
