Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mail Carrier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to designated locations within your assigned route. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as required. This position requires a valid driver's license and may involve operating various types of vehicles, including box trucks.
Duties
- Deliver mail and packages accurately and efficiently to residential and commercial addresses.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Load and unload mail and packages using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from recipients.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Handle heavy lifting as necessary when transporting large or bulky items.
- Assist in moving items within the facility when required.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift, or similar equipment is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with recipients.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds).
- Previous experience in commercial driving or moving is advantageous.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
