Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in accordance with specifications and codes.
- Perform tube bending and welding tasks using various techniques including stick welding.
- Solder pipes and fittings to ensure secure connections.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine layout of piping systems.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe installation.
- Operate tools such as calipers for precise measurements during installation processes.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure efficient project completion.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Skills
- Proficient in pipefitting techniques including tube bending, welding, and soldering.
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with stick welding processes is preferred.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential.
- Experience using tools such as calipers for precise work is advantageous.
