What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Queue Solutions?
Queue Solutions is a fast growing manufacturing company based in Bohemia, NY. We now need a Customer Service Representative to assist our sales team and manage the day to day sales operations of the business.
Primary Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist customers with pricing and product information.
- Handle phone/email orders and requests for literature.
- Manage freight quote requests; obtain freight charges from the Shipping Department and pass on to customers.
- Manage progress chasing calls, confirming due dates with the Production Department and reporting back to the customer.
- Provide tracking information to customers as required.
- Process Returned Materials Authorization (RMA) requests. Complete paperwork, gain authorization from the relevant department head, and issue RMA # to the customer.
- Receive product and service complaints, referring complaints to the designated departments for investigation.
- Liaise with customers regarding queries or issues with Purchase Orders.
- Enter all pertinent information, accurately and consistently into company database for future reference by other representatives and for reporting and analysis.
- Make follow-up calls for status of quotations.
- Solicit sales of new or additional products/services, if the opportunity warrants.
- Assist with catalog and other literature mailings.
- Deliver superior customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism over the phone/email. Consistently friendly, courteous, and respectful of customers and co-workers.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Experience in sales and/or customer service and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- A good working knowledge of the PC is essential for this position. Applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and a Calendar/email system are used on a daily basis.
