Quevera is seeking a future Cybersecurity Professional III to support complex DoD systems and Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) activities through expert-level cybersecurity compliance, documentation, and risk management. This is a key role for a seasoned professional who thrives in high-stakes environments and understands how to balance technical rigor with operational demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support for DoD Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), with a focus on SCCA compliance
- Act as a Security Manager supporting cybersecurity actions in alignment with NIST 800-53 Rev. 4 (or current), DISA policies, and DoD security regulations
- Lead the development, maintenance, and review of critical security documentation, including:
- Architectural and design documents
- Strategic plans and roadmaps
- Risk management and compliance reports
- Technical specifications and market research findings
- User guides, training materials, and installation procedures
- Briefings, white papers, and meeting minutes
- Ensure the security posture of systems meets DoD cybersecurity requirements across enterprise-wide environments
- Provide expert input into system and network security architecture to align with policy, risk tolerance, and technical requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, program managers, and government stakeholders to ensure security objectives are met throughout the lifecycle of cloud and on-prem systems
- Continuously monitor evolving security standards, threat vectors, and compliance mandates, adjusting documentation and practices accordingly
- Communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience; one additional year may substitute for a degree)
- 10 years of recent, relevant experience in cybersecurity, including 5 years in Computer Science or a related field
- Active IAM Level III certification (DoD 8570 Compliant)
- Proven experience supporting DoD RMF A&A processes, including SCCA activities
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity compliance frameworks and NIST, DISA, and DoD guidance
- Strong experience in developing and managing high-quality technical and strategic documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience supporting complex, enterprise-wide IT environments
- Familiarity with DoD security requirements, authorization packages, and control implementation
