Job Overview:
Wildwood Small Engine Repair is looking for a highly organized and technically skilled contractor to manage customer scheduling, billing, parts sourcing, technician coordination, and remote troubleshooting.
***This is a fully remote, 1099 contractor position, Must have small engine repair experience who excels in customer service, logistics, and operations management.
***Must be resident of FL
This role plays a key part in ensuring customers receive fast, efficient service while supporting technicians with diagnostics and repair orders.
Work Schedule:
- Must be available to work from 3 PM - 9 PM Central Time (Monday - Friday).
- This is a fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Scheduling & Client Coordination
- Schedule service appointments based on technician availability and customer needs.
- Optimize technician routes to minimize travel time and maximize efficiency.
- Reschedule appointments as needed and ensure customers are informed of changes.
- Track and manage same-day and emergency service requests.
2. Billing & Customer Invoicing
- Accurately bill customers based on service needs and technician reports.
- Ensure all invoices align with work orders and customer agreements.
- Follow up on overdue payments, resolve billing disputes, and ensure timely collections.
3. Technical Assistance & Repair Coordination
- Provide DIY troubleshooting support for customers with minor issues.
- Assist technicians with diagnostics and repair orders remotely.
- Review and finalize work orders before sending them to customers.
4. Parts Sourcing & Ordering
- Locate and order parts for technicians, ensuring availability for scheduled jobs.
- Research best pricing and supplier options to reduce costs.
- Track parts orders and confirm timely deliveries.
5. Technician Hiring & Evaluation
- Conduct technical interviews for small engine repair technicians.
- Assess candidates' diagnostic skills and experience.
- Ensure new hires understand company policies and job expectations.
6. Operational Reporting & Efficiency Tracking
- Generate performance reports on scheduling efficiency, technician productivity, and customer service trends.
- Identify bottlenecks in scheduling or repairs and suggest improvements.
- Track most commonly needed parts and work with suppliers to streamline procurement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must have hands-on experience with small engine repair (lawnmowers, generators, ATVs, etc.).
- Strong technical knowledge to diagnose and troubleshoot remotely.
- Experience in scheduling, logistics, or dispatching is preferred.
- Proficiency in billing and invoicing software.
- Ability to source and order parts efficiently.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a quiet workspace, a reliable internet connection, and a computer (as this is a remote contractor role).
- Availability from 3 PM - 9 PM Central Time is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
