Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to a safe and pleasant dining experience for our guests. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for food service and hospitality. Must be available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays 9am-3pm. Ask about picking up more hours as a cook!
Duties
- Operate dishwashing machines and hand wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by regularly cleaning countertops, floors, and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Help with bussing tables to ensure a smooth flow of service during busy periods.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines in all cleaning tasks.
- Support kitchen staff in maintaining an organized workspace by properly storing clean dishes and utensils.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to help with various kitchen tasks beyond dishwashing as needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
