We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. Position Summary:
The Accounting Clerk will provide key support to the business's financial and accounting functions. This position requires a self-starter with a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing many hats and will contribute to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting (AP, AR, Bookkeeping):
- Assist with maintaining the general ledger, recording financial transactions, preparing journal entries, reconciling bank accounts, and generating financial reports.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing schedules and reports, and supporting audits.
- Process invoices, assist with vendor management, prepare and process payments, reconcile vendor statements, and support the management of aging reports.
- Generate invoices, track payments, assist with following up on overdue accounts, reconcile customer accounts, and support the management of aging reports.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
- Assist with the development and monitoring of budgets
- Assist with tracking key performance indicators such as DSO, DPO, and DIO among others.
Payroll:
- Assist with collecting time sheets, calculating wages and deductions, and processing payroll.
- Assist with filing payroll tax returns, remitting payroll taxes, and staying up-to-date on payroll tax regulations.
- Assist with managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Assist with preparing payroll reports for management and government agencies.
