Job Overview
We are looking for a Construction Estimator to join our team at our Nampa office. This role involves assessing project scopes, creating accurate estimates, and communicating with clients, insurance adjusters, and project managers. You will receive comprehensive training to understand our workflow and will be expected to complete 10-12 estimates per week. Daily responsibilities also include managing 15-20 phone calls related to project updates and cost negotiations.
This position is ideal for someone who is confident, hardworking, and detail-oriented—someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project photos and scopes provided by project managers to determine costs related to water/fire loss damages.
- Develop accurate and detailed project estimates, ensuring all necessary details are included.
- Communicate repair needs and costs with insurance adjusters to reach agreed settlements.
- Maintain consistent follow-ups with clients and adjusters, providing updates and additional documentation as needed.
- Respond promptly to emails and phone calls regarding estimates.
- Manage job file documentation, ensuring complete and accurate project details.
- Assist project managers with change orders, credits, supplements, and estimate modifications as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred: Experience with Xactimate, Excel, and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, adjusters, and project managers.
- Basic math skills for accurate cost estimation.
- Experience in construction, restoration, water/fire damage repair, or claims auditing (preferred).
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying objects as needed.
- Must be able to pass a background check, subject to applicable law.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year bonuses (based on experience).
