Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Restoration Billing Agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for responsible for contacting and following up with insurance companies and homeowners and demonstrate the ability to use customer service and conflict resolution skills to recover outstanding/overdue
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit invoices to insurance companies for restoration services rendered.
- Review and verify accuracy of billing information and documentation.
- Follow up on unpaid or disputed claims and work to resolve any billing issues.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters and clients to obtain necessary information and documentation.
- Maintain detailed records of all billing activities and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Assist with other billing and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Required to provide at home workstation, computer, internet access (Some in office time may be required due to hybrid position)
- Previous experience in billing, preferably in the water damage restoration industry.
- Familiarity with insurance billing processes and requirements.
- Experience with Xactimate (preferred)
- Experience with Dash and or Mica (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in using billing software and Gmail Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in billing or accounting is a plus.
