Quick Eternity Bartender
Quick Eternity is a new cocktail bar inspired by the Herman Melville novel Moby-Dick opening in early May in the historic South Street Seaport. We are seeking a Bar Manager to join our opening team led by owner/operator Bryan Schneider who has spent the last 12 years working as Bar and Creative Director for Quality Branded (Bad Roman, Quality Meats, Chez Zou, Don Angie) and previously at other cocktail bars including Clover Club and Monkey Bar.
Ideal candidates have a love of both cocktails, art, and literature (Herman Melville fans a plus!) The bar will also feature a menu of seafood focused tapas-style small plates created by chef Antonio Mora (Daniel, Frankies Spuntino, Quality Meats).
Bar Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains FOH inventory including beverage and service items
- Determines employees’ schedules.
- Maintains payroll
- Greets and seats guests
- Ensures bar is well-stocked and clean.
- Tracks customer behavior and sales.
- Maintains budget and monitors costs.
- Maintains drink recipe documentation.
- Oversees planning for special events.
- Appropriately delegates tasks to staff.
- Selects and purchases liquor and other supplies.
- Oversees staff, including bartenders, servers, and barbacks, and, hosts and in some cases kitchen staff as well.
- Hires, trains, promotes, and, when necessary, disciplines or fires staff.
- Initiates and maintains vendor relationships.
- Maintains point-of-sale technology and bar and restaurant management platforms.
Work Hours
40 - 50 hours per week
4 to 5 regularly scheduled shifts per week
Bar/Restaurant will be open for service 5pm to 1am nightly with prep and closing duties before and after
Bar Manager Qualifications/Skills:

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- College education a plus
- Prior experience working in a bar or restaurant.
- Supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale tracking technology and bar and restaurant management platforms.
Salary : $75,000
