Quick Eternity Bartender
Quick Eternity is a new cocktail bar inspired by the Herman Melville novel Moby-Dick opening in early May in the historic South Street Seaport. We are seeking Bartenders to join our opening team led by owner/operator Bryan Schneider who has spent the last 12 years working as Bar and Creative Director for Quality Branded (Bad Roman, Quality Meats, Chez Zou, Don Angie) and previously at other cocktail bars including Clover Club and Monkey Bar.
Ideal candidates have a love of both cocktails, art, and literature (Herman Melville fans a plus!) The bar will also feature a menu of seafood focused tapas-style small plates created by chef Antonio Mora (Daniel, Frankies Spuntino, Quality Meats).
Bartender Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Provides a pleasant drinking experience to customers.
- Serves drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area.
- Attends to the detail and presentation of each order.
- Prepares and maintains ingredients by following recipes.
- Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.
- Coordinates daily supply inventory for bar and submits orders to supervisor; assists with receipt of deliveries.
- Ensures smooth operation of bar services during absence of supervisor.
- Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing as needed.
- Assists with orienting new employees to their work area.
- Listens to customer complaints and suggestions and resolves complaints.
- Instructs personnel in use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provides efficient and effective methods of maintaining work area.
- Participates in and/or contributes to programs, committees, or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.
Work Hours
4 to 5 regularly scheduled shifts
40 hours per week
Bar will be open 5pm - 1am with prep and closing work before and after

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two (2) years of bar or restaurant experience to include drink preparation
- Current beverage service certification or other certification as required by federal/state/local law
- Familiar with point-of-sale computers and software
- Comfortable using a computer, navigating Windows, and email
